Summer 2023 was one for the record books as a long, hot and parched season.  Normally, afternoon storms keep the grass green and growing quickly.  However, it was brown and short this year with the assistance of sunshine and high pressure. 

Fortunately, the rain has made some appearances in recent weeks, and the wet conditions brought some of the grass back to life.  This video shows the greener grass in comparison to the scene back in August 2023. 


Clarence Ponsler

Originally from Monticello, Indiana, he is a broadcast meteorologist at Ocean 7 TV and WeatherVision based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He is also a director and editor for the locally produced shows at the worksite. Outside of his professional duties, he does more producing and video editing clips, in which several of them are uploaded to his hobby YouTube channel, Clarence Ponsler Webcast Network.
